Sunday’s Shopping Specials

by marc klink

As the holidays approach, I will continue to feature the number one requested items this year as Year End Holiday Gifts. It doesn’t matter whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, or Kwanzaa, you want to celebrate with gifts. Each week brings a cycle of new things, some not repeated twice as sales items before the middle of December. So…look carefully, compare, and grab while available.

from Logitech -

The Harmony Remote is the world’s only remote with Activity Control. Just scroll and click with the thumb wheel to choose an Activity such as “Watch Television” or “Watch a DVD” on the Harmony’s screen, and the Harmony Remote figures out how to set up the home theater without the need for ‘macros’. By selecting the activity, the appropriate commands are automatically sent to the entertainment devices, resulting in simple, intuitive control of even the most elaborate entertainment system.

Easy Web Set-up
The Harmony Remote’s Activities are completely web configured through Web Wizard questions on a Member’s web page at HarmonyRemote.com. By utilizing the world’s only Smart State Database of electronic devices, set-up is a snap. Even if a brand new device is not already in the database, the Harmony Remote will “Learn” any command or add any IR device directly to the database. This way Harmony Remote will never be out of date, and changes are quick and easy.
USB Plug ‘n Play
The Member’s configuration is transferred directly from their account to the Harmony Remote via the USB port their computer. The configuration is always safely stored on the Member’s web page so they can make changes any time they want with their Web browser. Context sensitive Help

With the Harmony Remote you will never hear complaints such as “I can see a picture, but I can’t hear the sound”. Simply press the Help button and the Harmony Remote asks a few simple questions on its screen such as “Is the television on?” or “Is the stereo set to the DVD input?”. Just click Yes or No to each question and the Harmony Remote will automatically send the correct commands to get the entertainment system back in sync. Anyone can do it!

Dynamic and Customizable Buttons
Each of the Harmony Remote’s button functions is tailored to the Activity, so the remote is always intuitive to use. In addition, each button is customizable, and “seldom used” functions are always available through the Harmony Remote’s screen. Everything is at one’s fingertips. The Harmony Remote SST-768 comes with additional transport and number buttons for simple home theater control, while maintaining single-hand operation of the original model.

This is a very nice remote and it ships for $2.00!
